What are the Boards?
Derby Homes is an Arms-Length Management Organisation (ALMO) that is owned and operated by Derby City Council. We are run by a board which oversees our work and ensures we are meeting our mission, objectives and values. The Board can delegate any of their powers to a committee made up of two or more Board Members together with other members, decided by the Board. One of these committees is the Operational Board. Both boards meet once every two months on alternating months.
Derby Homes Board of Directors
Derby Homes Board of Directors is made up of three tenants, three councillors and three independent members. Members of the Board are company directors and are responsible for the strategic running of the company.
The Operational Board is a committee of the main board. It has a majority of six tenant members who meet with other members, making important decisions that ensure we deliver services of the highest possible standard to our tenants and leaseholders.
It's membership is made up of three main Board Members, six additional tenants, one honorary tenant, one leaseholder, one Derby Association of Community Partners (DACP) representative and one Youth Board representative.
Both the Board and Operational Board meet once every two months (alternating months) to make decisions about the services provided by Derby Homes.
