How we are run
Derby Homes is an Arms-Length Management Organisation (ALMO) that is owned and operated by Derby City Council. We are run by a board which oversees our work and ensures we are meeting our mission, objectives and values. The Board can delegate any of their powers to a committee made up of two or more Board Members together with other members, decided by the Board. One of these committees is the Operational Board. Both boards meet once every two months on alternating months.
You can find information about our meetings, agendas, reports and minutes and read more detailed information about our Board Members on the Committee Management Information System (CMIS).
Questions for the Board
If there is something you’d like to know about Derby Homes or do you have a question about the services we deliver? If so, why not ask a question of our Board, or Operational Board?
Your question should be about something for which Derby Homes is directly responsible. If the question is about something that is confidential, or if it is defamatory, or offensive, it will be rejected. If we reject your question, we will explain why.
Every meeting has a 15 minute agenda slot where tenants, leaseholders and other members of the public can ask questions and receive answers.
You can attend the meeting to put your question to the Board directly, or if you can’t or don’t wish to attend, the Chair will ask the question on your behalf. We'll then send you a written reply after the meeting is over.
You can submit your question in writing, by phone or email. Don't forget to include your name, address and a contact telephone number.
