Garden Maintenance Scheme

The Garden Maintenance Scheme is open to Derby Homes tenants who have reached state retirement age or who are disabled and have no other able bodied person over the age of 18 living in the property.

Due to the popularity of the scheme, you may be placed on a waiting list. We’ll let you know as soon as you’ve been accepted. At this point, we’ll change your tenancy conditions to show, “Derby Homes accepts the responsibility for garden maintenance, and you will be charged for the service.”

How much does it cost?

There’s a small charge for the Garden Maintenance Scheme, which is added to your rent.

What work we do

The scheme includes:

  • grass cutting
  • border maintenance
  • hedge cutting
  • rose pruning
  • weed killing

We will do this work between April and October.
