Retirement living
We have a range of affordable, rented properties across Derby that are ideal if you're looking for somewhere to settle later in your life.
All our properties allow you to keep your independence, whilst still having access to a range of professional management and support services.
Affordable, secure properties, professionally managed
Our properties have everything you need to help you keep your independence, like their own front door as well as good access to public transport and major road links.
Some of our properties also have Community Rooms nearby, video door entry systems, lifts and even outdoor storage areas for mobility scooters.
After your first year as a Retirement Living resident, you will have the peace of mind of having a secure tenancy. If you're already a tenant of Derby City Council or a Housing Association on Derby's Joint Housing Register, you will immediately become a secure tenant. This means that the property is yours to rent for as long as you want (as long as you keep to your tenancy agreement).
All properties have communal gardens which are maintained by us. Any communal areas to our buildings are also cleaned and maintained as part of our housing management services.
Active communities on your doorstep
Many of our properties have Community Rooms nearby that host a variety of activities such as coffee mornings, bingo, social evenings, games, YMCA lunch clubs, art classes, needlecraft, quizzes, arts and craft classes, fish and chip lunches, social events, tea and cake afternoons and exercise classes.
This Community Rooms are also available for you to hire if you wanted to entertain your friends and family or hold your own event.
A range of locations across Derby
We have properties available across the city in Allenton, Alvaston, Austin, Brook Street, Chaddesden, Chellaston, Chester Green, Mackworth, Mickleover, Sinfin, Spondon and Stockbrook Street areas.
