Current Vacancies: Derby Homes Operational Board Members

We are currently accepting applications for tenant members on our Operational Board.

Secure tenants of Derby City Council and Derby Homes can apply to join our Operational Board. We offer regular training and support for you if you are successful in applying for one of these positions.  We will also make available to you a laptop and mobile phone for the duration of your membership, if required.

About the role of Tenant Operational Board Member

You will be expected to contribute from your experience as a tenant, to help the Board come to the best decisions.  This will involve a commitment to attend Operational Board meetings and training sessions.  Working well with others is a key skill that can make the role fulfilling as well as productive.

Meetings

The Board meets every three months at our London Road site. Meetings commence at 6pm and usually last around two hours. Copies of the agenda for each meeting are circulated to Board members in advance of the meeting and are available for public inspection at Derby Homes’ offices, with agendas, reports and minutes of Board meetings also published online at https://derbyhomes.cmis.uk.com/derbyhomes/Home.aspx

Training

Derby Homes has an ongoing programme of training for Board members to provide them with the skills and knowledge needed to carry out their role.
