Junior Wardens

We have Junior Warden Schemes in many parts of the city. Junior Wardens are encouraged to become involved in their community and take pride in where they live through a series of activities and events. These include litter picking, graffiti removal, patrolling with the Derby Homes Community Watch Patrol team, sessions on crime prevention, and team building with the Fire Service.

Our Junior Wardens show real commitment and enthusiasm and have had a positive impact on their community. The scheme has been possible by working with key partners to deliver interactive sessions that have helped to engage and interest Junior Wardens.

Some of our activities include:-

  • A trip to Skegness  to visit the seaside
  • Helping clear up areas in Chaddesden park, painting benches  and weeding
  • Baking  as many biscuits as possible to raise money for Children In Need.
