Employee consultation is high on our agenda – we want everyone to feel that their views count. To help us achieve this, we have a number of initiatives including an employee suggestion scheme called Bright Ideas. We also have a communication group, led by employees for employees, that meets regularly through the year to discuss anything that might affect them in the workplace. The senior management team read the minutes of these meetings on a quarterly basis.
We give UNISON, UCATT and UNITE full trade union recognition rights. This means, we consult them about any proposed changes to employees' terms and conditions. We also welcome the support and guidance they offer individual employees.
