Tenant Scrutiny

Tenant Scrutiny at Derby Homes is a panel of volunteers who have the ability to monitor and scrutinise our performance against regulatory standards of social housing. The aim is to improve performance and increase transparency.

The panel will be made up of up to ten volunteers, including two committee members of the Derby Association of Community Partners (DACP) and one Leaseholder.

The panel is independent of Derby Homes and Derby City Council arrangements, allowing the ability to be free to decide what is needed to scrutinise and free from influence.

They will agree an annual programme in advance of areas of the service to scrutinise in line with the Local Offers. After inspecting these areas, feedback and recommendations will be reported to the DACP, Derby Homes Main Board and Derby City Council.

In areas of serious concern the Scrutiny Panel will have the right to refer matters direct to the regulator.
