Repairs priorities

After consulting with tenants, both Local Housing Boards have recently agreed to bring in new timescales for carrying out repairs. This will make it possible for Derby Homes to provide an improved level of service across all neighbourhoods. The new timescales are set out below:

  • Emergency repairs  - Priority 41 - (attend and make safe in two hours)
  • Very urgent repairs - Priority 42 -  (complete within 24 hours)
  • Urgent repairs - Priority 43 - (complete within seven working days)
  • Non urgent repairs - Priority 44 -  (complete within 25 working days)
  • Specialist non urgent repairs - Priority 45 -  (complete within 60 working days)

The new timescales for repairs will allow Derby Homes to offer the following benefits to our customers:

  • a greater certainty that we will be able to deliver the service within the agreed priorities, especially where work involves making non standard joinery
  • better value for money by giving us the opportunity to group work together
  • overall a better, more reliable repairs service.
