Derby Association of Community Partners
The Derby Association of Community Partners (DACP) is a voluntary organisation for tenants, community groups and other partner agencies.
We are an established group of tenants who volunteer our time to make sure Derby Homes are providing you with an excellent service. We have good, in-depth knowledge of housing issues and how Derby Homes operates as a company. This means we’re in a good position to be able to help you if you have an idea how they could improve or if you have an issue you need resolving.
We hold regular “open meetings” on every last Monday of the month (or a week earlier if that falls on a bank holiday). They take place at the Derby Homes Resource Centre in St Peters House, Gower Street, where we are also based. All Derby Homes tenants are welcome to attend any of these meetings, where we discuss tenancy related issues and Derby Homes performance against targets.
Our annual general meeting takes place in May every year.
On this page you can download a copy of the latest DACP News , which is written by tenants at the DACP for tenants and leaseholders.
We also work with Derby Homes to improve services by carrying out inspections of empty properties that are ready to let and by talking to tenants who have experienced a service to find out how the service was for them from start to finish.
Empty Properties
Derby Homes have set standards that all ready to let properties should meet. Four times a year, members of the DACP visit a random selection of ready to let empty properties and report back to Derby Homes what they find. If properties are not up to standard, issues are identified and put right and processes are changed if necessary to make sure similar problems do not happen again in future.
Customer Journey
We also speak to tenants about their experience of Derby Homes services; this is called the Customer Journey. We find out how tenants felt about their experience from start to finish for service areas such as day to day repairs, home decoration, contact with the Enquiry Centre and reporting of anti social behaviour. Again we report our findings to Derby Homes and any customer service issues picked up are dealt with.
