Sexual Orientation Policy

It is unlawful to discriminate or harass someone because of their sexuality or perceived sexuality in all areas of employment including:

  • recruitment and selection
  • conditions of employment
  • training opportunities
  • dismissal and redundancy
  • providing references. 

This policy and procedure applies to all employees of Derby Homes.  These guidelines provide:

  • a definition of sexual orientation
  • information about discrimination, harassment and victimisation
  • information about confidentiality and 'coming out'
  • frequently asked questions about sexual orientation.
