Fresh Start Derby Community Health Services - NHS
This is a programme for smokers ready to stop smoking. Fresh Start are offering a drop in/group sessions at OSCAR (Addison Rd) on Monday afternoons.
between 1pm-3pm. The sessions will include:
- Free stop smoking advice and support.
- Free stop smoking prescription products if you don’t pay for prescriptions.
- The option of group or 1 to 1 session support.
- Other topics around stopping smoking.

Alvaston Gardening Competition.
Derby Homes, Alvaston Neighbourhood Board and Streetpride have joined together to host the Alvaston Gardening Competition.
The competition is open to all residents of the Alvaston ward .There are three categories:-
- the best garden
- the best hanging basket
- the best communal garden
The Closing date for applications is 30 April 2012
Judging will take place during June 2012.

Passport Plus - YMCA
YMCA Derbyshire runs short programmes in Derby for local people aged over 19 who need extra help and support to find work and live independently.
Passport Plus is a ‘roll-on, roll-off’ programme with start dates every five weeks and leads to nationally recognised qualifications in employability and
