Here are a few examples of our consultancy services:

  • Derby Homes was the first housing organisation to get ‘three stars’ from the Audit Commission and one of the first ‘Arms Length Management Organisations’ (ALMOs) in the country.  As a result, several councils and housing associations sent staff, councillors and tenants to us, to learn about how we achieved this.  As part of the training process, our senior managers conducted peer reviews, and our finance staff helped other ALMOs set up new financial systems. We continue to partner with other housing organisations such as Derwent Living to inspect each others work and to improve our scrutiny processes.
  • We have successfully procured partnerships with Bramall Construction, Lovell Partnerships, Derby City Council Commercial Services, Vinshires Plumbing and Heating, E.On and Nationwide Solar. These partnerships have helped us reduce costs and at the same time bring all our homes up to the government’s ‘Decent Homes Standard’. We would be keen to hear from other Housing Organisations who would like to jointly procure contracts with us. 
  • We work with Spirta Housing Association and Northern Counties Housing Association to manage 100 housing association properties in Derby. We can advise other associations on how they could work with us to provide thier tenants with an efficient, friendly and local service.
  • We work with private landlords to manage their properties efficiently and successfully. We are workign with the council to help bring back into use empty private sector properties. If you won a property and would like us to manage it, please contact Phil Davies.
