Tackling Anti Social Behaviour
You can report anti social behaviour and hate crime here or by calling our Enquiry Centre on 01332 711000. The Enquiry Centre is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturdays 9am to 12noon. Outside these hours you can ring CareLink on 01332 256060. In an emergency you should ring the Police on 999.
Here are some of the questions that we are asked most frequently about anti social behaviour.
Anti social behaviour causes real misery for people who simply want to get on with their lives. It can range from serious acts of violence and harassment, to more ‘everyday’ incidents like noisy neighbours or overgrown gardens.
What is Derby Homes doing to tackle ASB?
Derby Homes is committed to taking clear steps to deal effectively with anti social behaviour, nuisance and harassment so that residents can live in a comfortable and safe environment.
The Neighbourhood Safety Team is a team of specially trained staff who deal with the serious cases of anti social behaviour. Their aim is to tackle and reduce anti social behaviour by supporting victims and taking action against the people who cause problems for their neighbours.
The Neighbourhood Safety Team is a support service for the housing offices and other teams within Derby Homes and uses a variety of tools to tackle anti social behaviour.
Derby Homes nominated Derbyshire Constabulary Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) as their partner of the year 2011. The SNT work throughout the city and are an excellent example of how partners work together to help the community and strengthening relationships between all organisations involved. They attend regular tasking meetings to address and action issues of concern.
We have listened to your views and other groups and partners such as the Police and the City and Neighbourhood Partnerships and we are committed to working together to solve these problems.
