Customer service excellence
|
Customer Service Excellence, previously known as Charter Mark, is the government’s national standard for public services. It aims to provide a first class service by encouraging organisations to focus on the needs of the people using the service |
Customer Service Excellence uses ‘continuous improvement’ as a way to provide consistently high levels of customer service. Organisations that meet this standard are more likely to listen to their customers, perform better than average, have more satisfied users, and use their resources wisely. |

ISOQAR |
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses. It applies to the processes that create and control the products and services an organisation supplies. It prescribes systematic control of activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met. It is designed and intended to apply to virtually any product or service, made by any process anywhere in the world. |
Implementing a Quality Management System will motivate staff by defining their key roles and responsibilities. Cost savings can be made through improved efficiency and productivity, as product or service deficiencies will be highlighted. From this, improvements can be developed, resulting in less waste, inappropriate or rejected work and fewer complaints. Customers will notice that orders are met consistently, on time and to the correct specification. This can open up the market place to increased opportunities. |

Resident involvement champion
|
The Resident Involvement Champion network was set up to share good practice and innovation in Resident Involvement nationally, through nine regional “champions”. We were selected as a leading Arms Length Management Organisation to set up a good practice network for the East Midlands. The project was grant-aided in its first year by the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) and jointly led by the Improving Housing Services by Involving Residents (IHS) Beacons, Bolton At Home, Carrick Housing, Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing and The London Borough of Croydon. |
Being a nationally recognised champion for Resident Involvement means that we’re in a good position to facilitate learning and share the good practice of others. It’s good for our tenants as we get to pick up lots of good ideas and it’s also good for tenants and residents of our partners, other landlords and local authorities who all get to benefit from the knowledge we share. |

ASB Accredited
|
Derby Homes has been awarded a nationally recognised accreditation in recognition of the way it deals with anti social behaviour. The housing organisation, which manages and maintains council properties on behalf of Derby City Council, has successfully achieved the Housemark ASB Accreditation Scheme based on the strategic and operational approach it takes to tackling anti social behaviour. Housemark’s ASB accreditation allows social landlords to demonstrate to their tenants, partners and the housing regulator how they are responding to anti social behaviour. |
It shows that Derby Homes has a rigorous and innovative approach to dealing with ASB |
