STRIVING TO PROVIDE THE BEST SERVICE TO OUR COUNCIL TENANTS
Following our successful Audit Commission re-inspection in February last year, we have been working with another arms length management organisation, Ashfield Homes to make sure that we are continuing to provide an excellent service to tenants.
We have set up a reciprocal arrangement with our neighbouring ALMO in Ashfield to make sure that any recommendations that were received from last year’s inspection are complied with. In the inspection, Derby Homes was awarded the highest accolade of three stars for excellent service and excellent prospects for future improvement. Since then we have been implementing recommendations from the inspection.
Derby Homes' Customer Service Manager said: “Ashfield Homes, another 3 star organisation has carried out a mini-inspection to make sure we are continuing to improve – there were 11 recommendations and Ashfield gave us a 91% compliance score.’’
Dennis Rees, Chair of Derby Homes said: “It is important that we work with other ALMOs – sharing information and good practice can only improve our services. I do inspections at other housing organisations and at the end of the inspection there are always recommendations for improvement. I am really pleased that at Derby Homes we can show we have done our best to implement these recommendations.”
