Employee Survey
Derby Homes carried out an employee survey in the autumn of 2006. The survey was sent every employee and asked about all aspects of working for Derby Homes.
The survey was totally confidential to encourage employees to give completely honest feedback.
We were pleased that the survey showed an increase in the overall satisfaction rate compared with the previous survey, which was carried out in 2002.
There were improvements in the categories of Manager, Performance Management, Pay and Benefits, Communication and Information and Work Environment.
The survey also highlighted areas we needed to improve on such as Organisation and Strategy and Training and Job Satisfaction. An Employee Survey Working Group was formed to produce an action plan to address the issues raised in the survey. This group was made up of a range of employees from across the organisation. The plan has now been fully implemented.
This year, Derby Homes has taken part in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies for the first time. We are expecting the results of this in January 2008. We look forward to receiving feedback from the survey and looking for ways to make working for Derby Homes even better.
