National Award for Derby Homes

Our commitment to health and safety has been rewarded by a prestigious award from RoSPA – the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

Derby Homes were presented with a silver award in RoSPA’s Occupational Health and Safety Awards for 2005 for our commitment to health and safety in our work.  Our Senior Health and Safety Advisor, Stuart Hufton – who worked on achieving this for Derby Homes – collected the award at a ceremony in June.

To qualify for the award, we had to provide a wide range of evidence to demonstrate our commitment to health and safety throughout Derby Homes. 

Derby Homes’ Chief Executive Phil Davies said: “Health and safety is very important for us at Derby Homes.  It is an integral part to the way we work, both with our staff and our repair contractors. It’s important not just in our offices but also when we are out and about working in tenants’ homes and on our estates.”
