Signing up to support Equality and Diversity

Derby Homes has demonstrated commitment to equality of opportunity for all our tenants and employees by signing an Equality and Diversity Charter. 

The charter sets out our commitment to fighting discrimination, promoting equality of opportunity and valuing diversity. It recognises that we must have a workforce that is as diverse as the communities we serve.

Derby Homes says
“We believe in equality and fairness for all our tenants and we are against discrimination to any group or individual. Council housing is here to help every part of the community, and Derby Homes wants to provide services that are fair to all.”

“Now that we have made our position clear, employees and tenants need to help to make sure that we stick to our publicly stated stance on equality and diversity.” 

Copies of the charter will be displayed in all local housing offices, as well as at our central office in Cardinal Square.
