TRIBUTES TO LIONEL MASSINGHAM
Tributes have been paid to a former Derby Homes board member who died suddenly on Thursday 12 January.

Lionel Massingham, of Littleover, was an elected tenant board member of the organisation, an arm's length management company created by Derby City Council to manage, maintain and improve its council houses and estates, from October 2003 until October 2004.
Lionel (71) was also an active member of the Littleover Community Panel and represented this panel on the Local Housing Board for the South of the city.
He had been attending a meeting of the Local Housing South Board at Derby Homes’ offices when he was suddenly taken ill.
Councillor Paul Bayliss, Vice-Chair of the Board, said: “It was a great privilege to have known Lionel. He was a strong supporter of the work of Derby Homes and brought his work experience to his role as an elected tenant member. He is someone I was very fond of and loved working with. He spoke his mind and I along with everyone else will miss him greatly.”
Phil Davies, Chief Executive of Derby Homes, said: “Lionel will be missed by everyone who works at, and is associated with, Derby Homes. He was a guiding light on our work with housing associations as he was keen for us to work with them in partnership much more.
“He was a great support to the staff at Northern Counties Housing Association when they were consulting with their tenants over the management of their homes.by Derby Homes”
