Automated Rent Arrears Letters

Derby Homes is introducing computer-generated rent arrears letters.
 
From June 2004 tenants going into arrears will receive automatic notification of an outstanding balance.  Letters will be sent when:

• payments are not made to cover the rent due
• Housing Benefit is not being paid to cover the rent due
• the pattern of your payments leaves the rent account in arrears at any time.

If you receive a letter, you must take action. 

You should:

• pay the money you owe to clear your rent account, or
• contact your local housing office if you have a query.        

Your home could be at risk if you don't take action  

Please contact your local housing office if you have a problem paying your rent or need help claiming housing benefit. We always listen and, in most cases, will be able to offer assistance.
