Osmaston Community Panel held its first fun day on Wednesday 26 July 2006.

Osmaston Community Panel held its first fun day on Wednesday 26 July 2006. The event was officially opened by our Chief Executive, Phil Davies, and was extremely well attended.

Osmaston Fun Day Visitors to the fun day were treated to a variety of attractions including a Bouncy slide, ferret handling, children’s story telling, a DJ and face painting. The Fire Service was also in attendance and a number of information stalls were available.

The Neighbourhood and Environmental Action Team (NEAT) also used the event to launch their new neighbourhood services.

Over 250 hot dogs were sold and refreshments had to be replenished twice! Derby Homes, partners and local businesses donated over 30 raffle prizes. A number of other prizes including cuddly toys and games were given out free to children during the day.

Thanks must go to Ken Whitehead, Chair of the panel and his wife who helped organise the whole event. Steve Astle, Housing
Manager, would like to thank staff Emma Fisher, Mark Watson and Sue Featherstone, who tirelessly served food and refreshments
all day. Thanks also to the caretakers who set up and tidied up afterwards and panel members who ran the stalls.
