Do you live in Morley and wish that there were more facilities for the residents? Or maybe you have an idea about how to improve the area?

If so, read on to find out how you can join likeminded tenants and make positive changes to your neighbourhood.

A tenant’s viewpoint…

The New Zealand Community Association, formerly Morley Action Group, was formed in January 2004 with the aim of improving the Morley area of Derby.

Our long-term aim is to have a community centre in the area. We want better use to be made of the recreation ground, so that
it becomes a pleasant place for Morley residents. We also want something done about the amount and speed of traffic that travels through the area.

We want to get a real sense of community back within the Morley area, to make living in Morley something of which we can all feel proud.

We can, and we will, achieve these aims. But we will reach our targets sooner if there are more of us. We know from talking to people and from the results of questionnaires we have carried out that many people in the area share our vision of a better Morley.

It will only take up a few hours each month of your time, but the benefits are well worth it.
