Problems with Fly Tipping
In recent months the New Sinfin Local Housing Office has received several reports about fly tipping.
Fly tipping is against the law and anyone caught can:
- be fined up to £20,000
- be sent to prison for six months
- lose their vehicle.
We will follow up all complaints received from members of the community. If we can identify the people who are fly tipping we will send the details to our legal department and press charges.
Please make sure you dispose of all rubbish that you can't put in your wheelie bin, in a sensible way. You can take it along to the Raynesway Recycling Centre.
did you know …?
- you don't need a permit to take rubbish to the site in your car
- we will dispose of fridges and freezers at no cost to you, if you bring them along to the site
- although you need a permit to take a van to the site, these are available free of charge by phoning 01332 715000.
Rubbish makes the estate look untidy and can be a health hazard. It's your community and your environment – help us to make it a better place to live in.
