Working together for a better service – February 2004
Derby Homes and Derby Benefits are working together to bring the benefits service closer to you.
From Monday 5 April 2004 you will be able to get expert advice on housing benefit and council tax benefit at your local housing office.
A housing/council tax benefit advisor will be at each local housing office one day a week. Here is a list of the housing offices and the day/time the advisor will be available.

The advisor will:
• have expert knowledge on housing benefit and council tax issues
• provide advice and assistance on making a claim or completing a form
• be able to check progress of your claim
• provide a private interview if you make an appointment
• verify your claim details while you wait
• process your claim where possible.
