CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SOARS!

A recent survey of Derby Homes has revealed an overwhelming increase in the levels of satisfaction of its customers.  Back in 2003, 75% of Tenants said they were satisfied with the service they received, but over the last three years this figure has risen sharply to 82%.  The survey also revealed an increase in customers who were "very satisfied" up from 32% in 2003 to 40% in 2006.

Derby Homes, the organisation that manages, maintains and improves Derby’s council houses and estates has always had a strong commitment to high standards of customer care.  The organisation works closely with both customers and partners in order to meet the expectations of its tenants and improve the quality of services to all its customers.

Phil Raffle, a tenant in Chaddesden said “Derby Homes has always put customers first, and is always willing to listen, and take on board what tenants have to say.  I think the results of this survey show the hard work and commitment of staff, and the improvements that have been made to our homes.”

There was also a rise in the number of people who said they were ‘satisfied’ with the neighbourhoods where they lived.  This figure rose slightly, from 73% to 75%, and the rise in levels of satisfaction with properties went from 81% to 85%.

Dennis Rees, Chair of Derby Homes Board and a tenant said “We know we’ve done a lot of work under the Homes Pride Scheme to improve peoples homes by fitting new kitchens and bathrooms, installing new PVCu windows and new central heating systems, but now we must focus on our estates.”  Dennis went on to say, “Our Estates Pride programme will see £15 million pounds being spent over the next five years, and these improvements and community projects will enhance the appearance and quality of life in our neighbourhoods.”
