Casino Night - Rolls Royce Club Moore Lane

Taking a Gamble on the Weather.

Over 330 people took a gamble and braved the poor weather conditions to attend a charity night at the Rolls Royce Pavilion Club.  The Casino style event, which was organised by Terry Willis and Derek Bale of Derby Homes, was a great success and raised over £3,000 for the Mayors Charities.

The event which featured Roulette, Blackjack and Stud Poker tables, also held a raffle and auction to push the final figure through the roof – and to get people into the Las Vegas spirit there was also live music and entertainment in the form of an Elvis tribute band.

The Mayor said, “This was one of those perfect evenings when people had fun and raised a significant sum for good causes at the same time.  I am so grateful to Derek and Terry for turning the idea into reality, to sponsors and supporters and all those who braved a blizzard to attend.”

Terry Willis said, “we’d like to thank everyone who braved the weather and supported the event – everyone had a great time, plus we raised a huge amount of money for charity.”

The event was sponsored by some of Derby Homes Contractors and Partners, Derek Bale said “without these sponsors we would never have raised as much money as we have, so a big thank you to them all for their support and generosity.”

The Mayors Charities include the Skegness Children’s Holiday Centre and the Dystonia Society.
