Derby Homes Board confirmed the appointment of Neal Burrows as the Leaseholder Board Member, at its meeting on 27 March. Neal replaces Jenny Bradley, who retired from the Board on 31 December 2007.  Neal has also been elected by the Derby Leaseholder Forum to be their Chair for 2008/9.

Neal has lived (or been based) in Derby for the past 45 years, and currently resides in the Little City / Abbey ward area of Derby. His working career has been predominantly within the rail industry from the Litchurch Lane Works, through to his current role of advising on health, safety, quality and environmental issues to a railway / construction company.

On his appointment to the Board, Neal said: “My personal aim during my Leaseholder Board Member activities will be to provide a positive and active link with the Derby Homes Board and as many leaseholders as possible.  I hope this will ‘make a difference’ and help to provide further improvements for leaseholders within their community and at home.”

Neal’s appointment is temporary until 30 October 2008.  Elections for the Leaseholder Board Member position for a further twelve months, will be held during the Summer.
