Derby Homes

Our new business and development team look for opportunities to bring additional investment into Derby Homes. We work closely with the Homes and Communities Agency, who can provide funding for new builds or refurbishments through their National Affordable Housing Programme. But we also work with the City Council and other organisations to try and identify other opportunities and sources of funding.

Recently, we were successful in our bid for funding for some of the first ALMO New Build properties in the country. As a result, the first of ten homes will be delivered in June this year.

We’ve supported Derby City council in its new build developments at Elton Road, Osmaston and Cowsley Road, Chaddesden, and continue to work with them to ensure the schemes are delivered on time.

We also manage an OJEU Compliant Developers Framework. Derby City Council and other organisations, such as Nottingham City Homes, have used this to procure work. We are keen to promote this framework to other organisations and are currently considering developing other frameworks.

Another role we have is acting as client’s representative for the Council to help deliver schemes. We would be keen to offer this service more widely – not only to increase our income stream but also to help new social housing developers achieve their goals.
